About Telrain

The city-state Telrain borders the Altean Kingdoms in the north and neighbors Nithaven in the south. Its sprawling metropolis Ibel Arithica is rich with trade and new technology, magic inventions, alchemist shops, and merchants from around the world. The innovations of Telrain are rivaled only by that of the Gentle City of Arcanum, across the Ocean of Furies. Much of Telrain's technological prowess is due to its Nimean bureaucracy, which is as old as Ibel Arithica itself. Historians believe the Nim helped found Telrain when it was but an unkept wilderness.

After the Fall, many of Telrain's inhabitants became refugees of the Magic City. Countless Muraian Nim were received by their relatives in Telrain. A small, hidden contingent of High People survivors took up residence in the city's lower depths.

Despite being governed by the clockwerk efficiency of Nim technocrats, Telrain's seedy underbelly is a dangerous hive of villainy and crime syndicates. Many of the councilors on the Nim-dominant bureaucracy within Ibel Arithica are beholden to third parties, whose interests and faces remain hidden in the shadows.

The Spires of Telrain

Ibel Arithica is renowned for its towering, magnificent Spires, which were designed after the clockwerk spires of the Magic City. Each spire supports a population in the thousands.

The Sewers

The sewers of Ibel Arithica connect to abandoned passageways beneath the city. Many factions within the Syndicate lay claim to regions of the hidden underworld.
