I serve many masters—duty, faith, guilt. Some days I wonder if I’ll ever serve myself.
—Wildcat of House Sylvariel
Wildcat was a Daemon handmaiden to Princess Nyn of House Sylvariel, her closest friend since childhood before The Fall. She sustained her oath to protect Nyn even after Muraius was destroyed, staying by her side when she first took refuge in Farlas. It was Wildcat who retained possession of the Scrolls of Elsene, one of the few artifacts salvaged from Muraius during The Fall; these texts were originally written by the First Queen Elsene, and were believed to contain the original blueprint used to create the Great Crystal. The only problem: the Scrolls were encoded by the Great Builder, seemingly untranslatable. Wildcat knew, based on tales from her mother, that a man named the Wizard in the West could read them... but it was said he only ever appeared once a decade, during the Kaleidoscope Carnival.
Thus the two survivors resolved to begin their journey to restore the Great Crystal.
As a combatant, Wildcat is formidable, combining agility, precision, and clerical magic against her foes. Wildcat’s loyalty to Nyn is as deep as sisterhood, but her duty to Yevna was ingrained in her since birth. When she received visions from her imprisoned mother, who became a captive of an unseen Inquisitor in Arcanum, Wildcat learned was told disturbing news about House Sylvariel's role in the fall of the Magic City. These revelations forced Wildcat to question the foundations of her loyalty.
