The rebel faction that rose in defiance of the Emperor of Arcadia has gone by many names over the course of its history. At its inception, it was known as the Prince Regent, organized in secret by the Emperor's firstborn son, Prince Exton Estrise.
After the Fall, the Prince Regent's forces are few and scattered—all but believed to have been defeated during the events of The Long Night. But the truth is that a small number persist in a fortress called Fell Rock, at the northernmost boundary of Arcadia. There, these "returners" keep the dream of rebellion alive, sending their informants into harm's way in the hope that one day, the rebellion will regain the support it needs to overthrow the Emperor.
The Returners are allies of The Queen Who Lives, and believe that the restoration of Queen to power will bring balance to the world.
