In their absence from the world, their names are whispered still. Not in prayer, but in fear.
High Inquisitor Stannean II, from The Shadow Pantheons
The Fallen gods are a pantheon of deities whose worship persists in secret after the destruction of the Magic City. Once considered aspects of the Second-Order gods, their descent into secrecy reflects the shattered state of the world following The Fall. These gods are associated with forbidden knowledge, unbridled power, and dark ambition, and their influence lingers at the edges of civilization.
- Alduran, the God of War, is the embodiment of battle in its most brutal and unrestrained form. Unlike deities who inspire valor or honor, Alduran represents war as devastation—conflict for its own sake, where bloodshed and conquest are the ultimate ends. His followers often venerate him through acts of destruction, and his name is invoked in curses by soldiers who have seen too much carnage.
- Xanthreel, the Wicked God, is a phantom of deception and nightmares, thriving on the downfall of the virtuous by corrupting their intellect. Xanthreel’s twisted formlessness permeates the world as a result of The Fall, and his followers practice cunning subversion and manipulation to worm their way into positions of power. The Wicked God is said to appear in moments of moral compromise like an intrusive thought, whispering temptations into the ears of the weak-willed.
- Vorrago, the God of the Abyss, embodies the concept of eternal darkness and hopelessness. Worship of Vorrago often centers on despair and surrender, with cults fixating on the belief that all things will eventually be consumed by the void. In the sunken ruins of Muraius and the drowned corners of the world, Vorrago’s name echoes as a reminder of what lies at the end of all things: oblivion.

Though their worship of these gods is outlawed or suppressed in many parts of the world, the Fallen gods retain a quiet but persistent influence. Cults dedicated to Alduran, Xanthreel, and Vorrago operate in secret, drawing power-hungry and disillusioned mortals into their fold. The Emperor of Arcadia himself is rumored to have courted the favor of the Fallen gods in his quest for domination, a testament to their enduring temptation.
