About The Northern Wastes

The uttermost north of the world is known as the Northern Wastes, a fragmented series of landscapes inhospitable to life. Beyond the Fields of Woe and the rebel base at Fell Rock, the waters of the north are dark, impenetrable, and treacherous.

According the mythology of the Lords of Men, the Colossi were driven into the Northern Wastes in order to clear Asag's influence from the world. In the Fields of Woe, their corpses remain petrified in the poses of their transfiguration.

The Colossi

These creatures are regarded as legends, humanoid giants who roamed the earth when the Brood Mother Asag reigned.

This ancient fortress sits atop the psychic ruin that is the Northern Wastes, far beyond the boundaries of Arcadia. The frame of edifice is shaped from the skull and bones of a giant Colossi, and has become the rebel headquarters of the Returners, who plot against the Emperor in these desperate end days.
