About Idania

The rebel province of Idania is home to Lady Katreus and Lord Zoltan, whose people actively resist the Emperor's reign. It is a center for commerce at the edge of the Empire and home to a large population of Mora gypsies who were displaced at the founding of Arcanum.

The province of Idania is in constant upheaval as imperial forces vie for control of its cities Strata and Navara. A Provisional Council was established to end the rebellion, while Lady Katreus and Lord Zoltan are locked away in their fortresses to ensure their "safety." Meanwhile, the Archers of the Watch organize in the woods to wage terrorist action against the imperial occupation. In Idania's outlying towns, Mora seers in the service of Lady Katreus form a whisper network, ferrying secret knowledge underneath the watchful eye of the Provisional Council.

Idanian people are prideful, independent, and resourceful. They tend to worship The First-Order Gods, especially the Mora, though some prefer the wisdom of Galimatias and other Gods of Men.

People & Culture

The imperial occupation is violent and oppressive. Most non-human peoples avoid Idania because of the Decree of the One God, but the province harbors many refugees from Empire, human and non-human alike. The worship of other gods is done in secret as the faith of Avestar is spread by imperial inquisitors.
