About Farlas

Farlas lies at the uttermost north of the planet, half of it entirely covered in ice and inhospitable to life. There are rumors that a long-forgotten civilization thrives somewhere near the pole and deep beneath the ice.

The Highgaard of Tarth rule from a distant labyrinth-city called Tarth. They are a hearty and fearless people for whom family and honor are cherished aspects of their culture. Many forgotten keeps in Farlas hold dark secrets that only the Highgaard understand. Few venture to these ruined cities, at the center of which rises the ancient Keep Stonegaard.

Farlas is mostly populated by Tarth and neighboring barbarian tribes of human origin, but there are various Rasan humanoids that have left the Shadowvale (among them Changelings) to reside here. To the south, barbarians take up residence in the city Vaarta, worshipping the elder god Teyat, though some of the elder Mora gypsies have introduced the First-Order Gods to their religions.

The Great Labyrinth

Despite being so vast a land, Farlas is synonymous with the Great Labyrinth, and the city Tarth that neighbors it.
