These silver pipes are flecked with blood. When activated by playing the pipes, a beautiful melody fills a melee space that attracts the attention of all those who can hear it: they will stop what they are doing and listen attentively until their attention is forcibly diverted. Victims are entitled to a contested Thaumaturgy spell check to resist. After you play for a number of rounds equal to the length of time you intend to inflict pain, the victims are wracked with pain (they cannot move and all actions they take are at disadvantage), deafened, and receive 1 point of sonic damage for each round the pipes were played. For the next 24 hours, if the victims hear any sound at any volume greater than a whisper after the melody of pain ends, they receive 1 point of sonic damage and are deafened for 1d6 rounds.
