Description
Even on Kashcouture, the colorful merchants of the Veil recognize the elasticity of value, but the truth can only stretch so far. Souls, like dollars and cents, are abstractions designed by men to hoodwink and pauperize. But ectoplasms? Well, they can be weighed and measured upon the same scale as the heaps of gold in The Collector’s treasury. The Astral Merchant says: I am made of star stuff. You believe the material world is all there is, reducible to the physical laws.
Grand Reification
Once per session, you may transmute a source of magic cast against you or any other target you can see into physical form as a reaction, if you have not already acted in the round. If the source of the magic can resist you, the GM may call for a contested check to determine whose belief wins out. The material transmuted thereby counts as a luxury consumable that grants you narrative advantage with respect to the magic it reifies.
