A story tag is a descriptor that represents a fictional state of affairs (whether in the overworld or as a manifestation of a conflict or flaw in a hero). A story tag always confers a +2 (or -2, if it's generated by GM and in his favor). A story tag is best expressed as a phrase that can be described succinctly, evocatively, and narrowly. Story tags derived from a hero's conflict can be invoked once per session; story tags derived from a hero's flaw (also called weaknesses) can also be invoked once per session, but if both are invoked, the hero recovers a fate point.
