Half the fun of playing Magic U is playing the University itself! Whichever PCs win a classroom scene puts their House story tags in play, which allows PCs from that House to invoke a third story tag alongside their Conflict and Flaw tags.
Taking Advanced Magical Action
Magic U features high level spellcasting for constructing NPC spellcasters above 10th level. These Magisters enjoy additional perks like Speed Casting, Combat Casting, and Master Geometry, among others, that allow them to do the seemingly impossible!
Introducing Co-Game Masters
Magic U is meant for episodic play. “Upperclassmen” (players who have been in Magic U scenarios before) can be invited back as Co-GMs.
The Co-GM’s primary responsibility is to adopt control of any NPC that the GM permits throughout the course of play, and is empowered to contribute to the fiction through those NPCs at will. This means the GM must adopt a “yes, and” mentality to the Co-GM’s contributions, no matter how outlandish or contrary to the playthrough they may seem.
