Can Psychics Detect the Presence of Mundane Minds?

David asked an interesting question RE: psychics and their ability to detect magical auras: Can psychics detect the presence of (mundane) minds using this ability? Each spellcasting class has the ability to detect magical auras, or the magical "residue" left by spells or other magical effects. See the rules on detecting magic. Psychics, additionally, can detect sentience in magical auras, in the same way clerics can detect evil in magical auras. Either way, their sixth sense only extends to magical things. Therefore a psychic cannot detect mundane sentience because the mundane sentience does not emit a magical aura. RE: the different types of magic and how they are interpreted fictionally in the game.
