Zero-Damage Perils

Zero damage perils are perils that have had their damage reduced to 0 as a result of soak (or some other ability), or maleficence attacks resulting in zero damage (such as the Chaos maleficence). Zero damage perils can affect you whether they reduce your AP or HP, unless the peril says otherwise. For example, if you suffer damage from a necrotic maleficence, the peril confers its status effect even if you only took damage to your AP and not your HP. Note that when soak reduces the damage caused by a maleficence to zero, this is not the same as a maleficence dealing zero damage.
