Warding Scepter

Description

This smooth steel rod telepathically attunes with its possessor when first discovered. When planted into the ground and activated by button press, the scepter creates an invisible bubble of detection (which is detectable only by magical means) centered on itself, that extends for an encounter space. When anyone unfamiliar to you enters the bubble, the scepter casts the spell Luminiferous on itself and telepathically alerts you to the intruder's presence. In general, this alarm makes it impossible for intruders to sneak up on you without being detected, thereby negating their surprise round. This scepter can only be used once per day.
