When you first discover this item, determine its maleficent type: 1) cold, 2) fire, 3) lightning, 4) sound, 5) divine, and 6) shadow. When you attack with this weapon, you may deal an additional d6 damage to creatures vulnerable to the maleficence. Furthermore, the weapon radiates the secondary effect of the maleficence, such that a divine weapon radiates light and is considered sanctified, and a fire weapon radiates heat and can make things burn. The weapon is useless against opponents who are immune to its maleficent type, and passes through them harmlessly.
